We are a small but mighty collection of educators that love what they do. This is NANA.

Meet the teachers

Through the guidance of our early childhood development teachers, children enjoy learning experiences that promote their growing independence, self-confidence and social skills. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of the children in our care.

Something about me… In my free time, I enjoy baking, reading, travelling, and spending time outdoors. I’m currently working on my B.Ed so I spent a lot of my free time reading and studying.

Why Early Childhood Education? I decided to pursue ECE because of my love for children and it quickly grew into an incredibly meaningful passion of mine. Each day it is a privilege to connect with children during a developmentally pivotal part of their early years. When I joined NANA I knew I was going to be a part of an amazing journey where the emotional and developmental well-being of the child is the number one priority.

Something about me: I love reading in my spare time. I always try to read different genres if possible. I love watching hockey whether it’s on tv or at the arena, as I live in a household that consists of Canucks fans, it’s always a loud and fun time. I love spending quality time with family and friends. I also love going for hikes as well and going to the lake as often as possible in the summertime.

Why Early Childhood Education?: I always knew I wanted to be an educator, but I wasn't sure whether I wanted to work in an elementary school or a daycare. I have always had an interest in working with children. I come from a family of educators. So I thought this was the perfect fit for me. As I made a leap into the ECE profession, I knew this was going to be what I wanted to do as a career choice.

Something about me… I have an amazing son and I enjoy being with children, teaching, guiding, and playing with them.

Why Early Childhood Education? I believe children using their imagination is an important tool and skill that children develop at an early age. I am patient and creativity is one of my strengths, which is perhaps why I feel working with children is as exciting for me as I hope it is for them! I believe reading aloud, singing, teaching, and encouraging children to love books and find unique ways to illustrate them builds not only a great imagination but also facilitates comprehension and literacy in their future. I am grateful that I am a part of the NANA team.

Why Early Childhood Education? I like to learn, so it naturally led to an opportunity to teach children. At the time, I thought to myself that the job of teacher is not just to teach, but to constantly learn. After I got married and had a son, I was particularly interested in ECE and how important it is in a child’s life. So, I read many books, took classes, and studied to become an ECE teacher.
